MUMBAI: The Samta Nagar police have arrested a 29- year- old bus conductor for allegedly raping a 14- year- old girl on Saturday, the police said. The accused has been identified as Mahendra Pralhad Chatur. He works as a bus conductor for Poisor
depot in Kandivali ( East).
The incident took place on Friday evening when the girl was alone in the house.
Taking advantage of the situation, the accused, the victims neighbour, came to the house on the pretext of giving a phone, which her uncle had given him to charge.
After some time, he raped her. The police claim that the sex was consensual, but since the victim is a minor, it becomes a case of rape.
