Admin forbids Cong corporators from going on hunger strike

UJJAIN : District administration has denied permission to Congress Corporators’ Group for going on hunger strike in support of 15, 000 destitute, widows and disable people who have not obtained pension for last seven months. Congress corporators had decided to sit on hunger strike on Monday, but they were forbidden by administration to do so. Widows, disable, elderly destitute people have not received pension from Ujjain Municipal Corporation for last seven months. Leader of Opposition Ravi Rai has condemned the decision of administration and said that the step was totally unconstitutional and unfair.
